This hood directs cold air thru the hood vents directly to the air intake system. AIT hoods utilized factory hinges and strikers for easier installation. The Dodge Ram hood comes in a smooth white gel coat finish on top and underside for easy prep and shorten work time for that perfect finish.

FRP hoods are "thicker" than Factory Hoods, it may be necessary to adjust all rubber stoppers. Some may need to be trimmed or removed completely. FRP Hoods are stiffer than factory steel/aluminum hoods, which factory hoods can actually twist to follow the fender line, even if one fender is lower than the other. Fender alignment may need to be adjusted for proper alignment.
